蒲田にあるテラスドルチェは、JR蒲田駅西口から徒歩数分のサンロード商店街内にある、一九七〇年代に創業した老舗の純喫茶です。

この店の最も大きな特徴は、長年にわたりサイフォン式でコーヒーを淹れている点にあります。注文ごとにアルコールランプに火を灯し、手間をかけて抽出することで、香りが豊かで、味わいに深みのある一杯を提供されています。特に「熱いアイスコーヒー」は創業以来の看板商品であり、濃く淹れたコーヒーをたっぷりの氷が入ったグラスに一気に注ぎ瞬間的に冷やすことで、香りと味を際立たせる工夫がされています。

店内は、オレンジ色の温かい照明や、アンティーク風の椅子、逆回りに動く壁掛け時計などが置かれた、昭和レトロな雰囲気が魅力です。時間を気にせずゆったりと過ごせる居心地の良い空間として、地元の方々や一人客に愛されています。

また、コーヒーや紅茶といった喫茶メニューに加え、フードやスイーツが非常に充実していることも人気の理由です。食事メニューには、昔ながらのナポリタンやハンバーグ、生姜焼きライス、チキンライスなどがあり、セットには具沢山の特製スープに変更できるサービスもございます。スイーツでは、昔ながらの固めの自家製プリンや、バナナ一本が丸ごと入ったバナナオムレットなどが特に人気です。

さらに、テラスドルチェはジャズの生演奏を定期的に開催していることでも知られています。毎週特定の曜日の夜などに、プロやアマチュアのミュージシャンによる本格的な演奏が行われており、チャージ料を別途設ける形で、美味しいコーヒーと共に音楽を楽しむことができます。

Terrace Dolce in Kamata is a long-established pure coffee shop founded in the 1970s, located within the Sun Road shopping street, just a few minutes’ walk from the JR Kamata Station West Exit.

The most significant characteristic of this shop is that it has brewed its coffee using the siphon method for many years. By lighting the alcohol lamp and carefully extracting the coffee upon receiving an order, they provide a cup with a rich aroma and deep flavor. The “Hot Iced Coffee” is a signature item since the shop’s founding; it is prepared by pouring richly brewed coffee directly into a glass filled with ice, instantly cooling it to enhance its aroma and flavor.

The interior is charmingly Showa retro, featuring warm orange lighting, antique-style chairs, and even an unusual wall clock that runs backward. It is loved by locals and solo guests as a comfortable space where one can spend time without feeling rushed.

Furthermore, in addition to coffee and tea, the abundance of food and sweets is another reason for its popularity. The food menu includes nostalgic dishes such as Neapolitan pasta, hamburger steak, ginger-fried pork rice, and chicken rice, and there is a service to upgrade the set soup to a special, hearty soup. Among the sweets, the traditional firm homemade pudding and the Banana Omelet, which contains a whole banana, are especially popular.

Moreover, Terrace Dolce is known for regularly hosting live jazz performances. Professional and amateur musicians provide authentic performances on specific weeknights, allowing guests to enjoy the music along with delicious coffee, often with a separate charge for the performance.
